The Dreaming Quilts Series was created during the 9 months of the Pandemic, using 30 years of fabrics I hand painted, dyed, and printed over decades. The resulting fifteen one-of-a-kind, full sized functional quilts can be hung on walls or even used for bedding. More importantly, 100% of the proceeds of sales of these works will benefit cultural institutions, nonprofits and scholarship programs, my way of “Paying it Forward” for a lifetime of opportunity, mentorship and inspiration. To date, $13,500 has been raised for twelve cultural nonprofits. Paying it Forward: Dreaming Quilt Series, with 7 of these pieces was on display in the Pumphrey Family Gallery at the International Quilt Museum, Lincoln, Nebraska, September 29 – December 18, 2021. In addition, Dreaming Quilt #5: Summer LIght 2 was included in the Quilts = Art = Quilts at the Schweinfurth Memorial Art Center, Auburn, NY. Dreaming Quilt 6 was selected as the cover image for A Playbill for Sunset, poems by Dan Campion. If a venue does not engage in sales, all available works from this series are for sale, Please contact me.
